Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, used his social media platform on October 9 and 10, 2025, to comment on ongoing debates regarding border security, government funding, and the actions of Senate Democrats.

On October 9, Crane posted: “Sums it up well. https://t.co/OjmGWSPuuF”.

The following day, he shared his perspective on Democratic policies concerning border patrol funding and healthcare for undocumented immigrants. On October 10, he wrote: “Remember when democrats unleashed the border crisis on everyone?

Well fast forward, and now they don’t want to pay border patrol agents.

All in an effort to keep funding healthcare for illegals.

Think about that. https://t.co/W0oMcIkchl“.

Later that same day, Crane addressed claims regarding responsibility for a federal government shutdown: “If anyone tries to tell you that senate democrats didn’t shut down the federal government, just show them this. https://t.co/pXbTdEnh0M”.

Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District in Congress since succeeding Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane has been vocal about issues related to immigration policy and government spending during his tenure.
