Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, has recently posted a series of tweets addressing topics ranging from infrastructure and energy policy to healthcare reform.
On October 7, 2025, Crane highlighted his office’s involvement in a panel discussion on the San Carlos Irrigation Project (SCIP) at the Southwest Tribal Utilities Seminar. He wrote, “Last week, my staff joined a panel discussion on the San Carlos Irrigation Project (SCIP) at the Southwest Tribal Utilities Seminar. I’ve urged @doioig to investigate the longstanding issues at SCIP. A solution requires transparency.”
Later that day, Crane criticized the Affordable Care Act, stating, “Democrats are dangerously close to finally admitting that Obamacare has been a huge failure that requires massive and unsustainable bailouts at the expense of…taxpayers.” This comment reflects ongoing debates in Congress regarding the financial sustainability and effectiveness of federal healthcare policy.
On October 8, 2025, Crane commented on U.S. energy policy and its global implications. He posted, “Thank your nearest democrat and even some weak republicans. All for billions in Chinese solar panels and ugly/unreliable wind turbines.”
Crane, who was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley, succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative of Arizona’s 2nd district in 2023. His recent statements reflect his ongoing focus on federal oversight of infrastructure projects and skepticism toward current healthcare and renewable energy policies.
