Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media addressing healthcare and the ongoing government shutdown.

On October 2, 2025, Crane published a brief message: “Hero.”

The following day, he criticized the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, posting on October 3, 2025: “So we can all admit that Obamacare has been a huge failure, right? Otherwise everyone’s healthcare wouldn’t be so expensive, frustrating, and dependent on government subsidies.”

Later that same day, Crane commented on the federal government shutdown and Senate negotiations. He wrote on October 3, 2025: “They are mad that everyone is telling the truth. Senate democrats shut down the government, but Chuck Schumer is losing momentum. Only five more democrat senators need to defy him for the government to reopen.”

Crane has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane has continued to use his platform to address both national healthcare policy and current legislative disputes.
