Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, has recently posted several statements on his social media account addressing issues related to immigration and healthcare.
On August 24, 2025, Crane commented briefly on an unspecified topic, stating “Won’t miss it.”
The following day, Crane addressed concerns about immigration enforcement in the United States. In a post dated August 25, 2025, he wrote: “Kilmar Abrego Garcia (gang member here illegally) needing to be deported twice is precisely why nobody trusts the radical left. They will do just about anything to put Americans last.”
Later that same morning, Crane turned his attention to Medicaid program management and alleged misuse of resources. He stated: “Which means, of course, the health care industrial complex has been benefiting from keeping dead people enrolled in Medicaid. Who supports that? We have to clean out the waste, fraud, and abuse if we’re going to preserve these programs for those in need.”
Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District since succeeding Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley at age 43, Crane’s public statements often focus on government accountability and border security.
