Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of tweets on October 30, 2025, criticizing House Democrats for their stance on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and sharing links to related content.
In his first tweet at 16:06:41 UTC, Crane shared a link without additional commentary: “https://t.co/AJWIYBdu1Z”.
A second tweet followed one second later with another link: “https://t.co/FYrtvXnPU5”.
Later that day at 16:46:07 UTC, Crane addressed recent legislative actions regarding SNAP. He wrote, “If you haven’t already, you are going to see a flood of performative posts from shameless House Democrats about SNAP.
On September 19, the House passed a bill to fund the program and keep the government OPEN.
Every single House Democrat, with one exception, voted NO.
Just FYI.”
Eli Crane succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane has used his platform to comment on congressional proceedings and partisan divisions surrounding federal programs such as SNAP.
