Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on October 30 and 31, 2025, addressing legislative issues and party dynamics in Washington.

On October 30, Crane posed a question to Senator Mike Lee by writing, “Here is the real question, @basedmikelee: Why hasn’t it happened already?” On October 31, he commented on another post with “This is spot on.”

Later that day, Crane criticized House Democrats’ actions regarding federal programs and shutdown negotiations. He stated, “Shameless lie. Only one House Democrat voted to extend SNAP. Obamacare is causing premiums to rise. Only one House Democrat voted to pay federal workers. Three brave democrat senators have already defied their party boss. Only need 5 more to end the Schumer shutdown.”

Crane has served as a member of Congress since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023 and resides in Oro Valley after being born in Tucson in 1980.
