Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of tweets on November 6, 2025, criticizing Democratic policies and actions related to the insurance industry, legislative procedures in Congress, and a recent Department of Justice operation.

In his first post at 20:24 UTC, Crane wrote, “Would be a shame if @BarackObama saw this. Democrats are so close to being honest about what they’ve done to everyday Americans. All to make their buddies in the insurance industry rich.”

Later that evening at 22:34 UTC, Crane addressed legislative strategy and expressed agreement with former President Donald Trump: “We need to be as committed to saving America as the democrats are to destroying it. I agree with President Trump. Carefully managing the slow decline of our country by clinging to tradition isn’t going to cut it. Get rid of the filibuster and get to work.”

At 23:40 UTC on the same day, Crane commented on a Department of Justice initiative known as Arctic Frost: “Arctic Frost was a massive dragnet carried out by Joe Biden’s weaponized DOJ. The targets ranged from sitting Republican members of Congress to outside groups like Turning Point USA. Those who aided and abetted this scandal must face accountability.”

Crane’s statements come amid ongoing debates over healthcare policy and congressional procedure in Washington. The filibuster has been a subject of controversy in recent years, with some lawmakers advocating for its removal to facilitate legislative action.

Eli Crane was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley. He succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district after winning election in 2022.
