Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his social media account this week addressing both internal office developments and broader political commentary.

On December 18, 2025, Crane acknowledged the conclusion of an internship within his office, stating: “This week marks the end of Emma Smith’s internship with my office. Throughout the fall, she demonstrated exceptional initiative, integrity, and high-caliber work. We’re thrilled to welcome her back next week as our new Legislative Correspondent!”

Later that day, Crane commented on Democratic Party policies by posting: “Democrat policies are such a joke that they’ve created ‘fraud tourists.'” The following day, he emphasized another issue by writing: “This should absolutely be the #1 story in America right now.”

Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District since 2023 after succeeding Tom O’Halleran. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane has been active in both legislative matters and public communication through social media platforms.
