Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates and opinions on his social media account on September 30, 2025.
In a post from that morning, Crane commented on recent government shutdown proceedings: “A little over ten days ago, they all voted to shut down the government. The House has already acted. We’re now waiting on Senate Democrats, but Chuck Schumer is afraid of his shadow (AOC). All they do is lie.” (September 30, 2025).
Later that day, Crane reflected on a meeting with students from Arizona visiting Washington D.C., stating: “Great to meet with a group of students from Arizona visiting DC this week. Very impressed by their thoughtful questions and willingness to engage. It’s so important that we encourage future generations to participate in government.” (September 30, 2025).
That evening, he posted another message criticizing Democratic lawmakers: “Democrats are much more consumed with their Trump Derangement Syndrome. They don’t care what voters think. They want a shutdown because they’re sick of seeing President Trump deliver wins for the American people.” (September 30, 2025).
Crane has served as the representative for Arizona’s 2nd district since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023 and resides in Oro Valley after being born in Tucson in 1980.
