Rep. Eli Crane, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of statements on his X account on August 28, 2025, addressing crime and public safety issues in Washington D.C. and expressing support for former President Trump.

Later that day at 18:44 UTC, Crane criticized the influence of George Soros and thanked former President Trump for his actions: “The Soros Crime Family has unleashed terror on We the People for far too long. Thank you for taking action, President Trump. https://t.co/On0SdatPv9”.

At 18:50 UTC, Crane commented on crime rates in Washington D.C., stating: “The murder rate in Democrat-run Washington D.C. was out of control. Citizens lived in constant fear as local officials doubled down on their soft-on-crime policies. All it took was a new President and the National Guard to restore law and order to our nation’s capital. https://t.co/GCmyafyIZp”.

Eli Crane began serving in Congress after replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023 and represents Arizona’s 2nd District. Born in Tucson in 1980, he is currently a resident of Oro Valley.
