Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of tweets on January 6 and 7, 2026, praising citizen journalist Nick Shirley and commenting on healthcare policy.

On January 6, Crane wrote: “Nick Shirley is a fearless citizen journalist who stood up to a corrupt system and exposed waste, fraud, and abuse being perpetrated against the American people. (2/4)”.

The following day, he added encouragement in another tweet: ” keep up the great work https://t.co/4u8MFyEmpR”.

Later that day, Crane referenced healthcare legislation with another post: “This tweet has almost aged as poorly as Obamacare. https://t.co/lfLuc6oDMF”.

Crane was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley. He succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district in Congress beginning in 2023.
