Rep. Eli Crane, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of messages on January 6, 2026, emphasizing his commitment to fulfilling campaign promises and criticizing the Senate’s handling of the SAVE Act.
In a post made early in the morning, Crane wrote: “Let’s do what we promised:” (January 6, 2026). Later that day, he reiterated his stance by stating: “It’s not a strategy that makes you popular in the swamp, but we have this radical idea that we should actually do what we said we’d do on the campaign trail.” (January 6, 2026).
Crane also addressed legislative developments concerning the SAVE Act. He commented: “Yet the Senate is still sitting on the SAVE Act. Even four Democrats voted yes when the House passed it LAST APRIL. No excuses.” (January 6, 2026).
Eli Crane succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district in 2023 and resides in Oro Valley. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane has served in Congress since defeating O’Halleran and has publicly advocated for advancing legislation such as the SAVE Act.
