Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media account on October 2, 2025, to share updates regarding legislative priorities and community engagement.

In a post published at 17:12 UTC, Crane announced his support for a constitutional amendment related to congressional pay during government shutdowns. He wrote, “Members of Congress should not be paid during government shutdowns. Proud to cosponsor @RepRalphNorman’s constitutional amendment to prohibit pay and back pay for lawmakers.”

Later that day, at 18:14 UTC, Crane informed constituents about an upcoming local event: “A community meeting is scheduled for tonight at 6pm at High Desert Middle School in Globe. #AZ02”

At 18:41 UTC on the same day, he posted a brief message of appreciation: “Thank you!”

Eli Crane has served as the U.S. Representative for Arizona’s 2nd District since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane currently resides in Oro Valley.
