Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing water security legislation and commenting on a police incident in Minneapolis.
On January 9, 2026, Crane announced his legislative efforts to address water security in rural areas of Arizona. In his post, he stated, “I’m honored to introduce legislation to help secure long-term water security in rural Arizona. After meeting with tribal leaders and surrounding communities, it was clear how much certainty and stability this bill would provide. Proud to fight for #AZ02.”
Later that day, Crane commented on an incident involving law enforcement in Minneapolis. He wrote, “Ignoring lawful commands and driving into an officer is dangerous and illegal. Based on the footage from the Minneapolis incident, the response was clearly an act of self-defense. It’s a tragic situation, but the video evidence should fully exonerate the officer.”
On January 10, 2026, Crane added another brief statement: “The American people have had enough.”
Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District since 2023 after succeeding Tom O’Halleran. Born in Tucson in 1980, he currently resides in Oro Valley.
