Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district, announced legislative efforts to address drone threats and highlighted support from colleagues in a series of posts on December 18, 2025.
In his first post, Crane addressed concerns about unmanned aircraft systems, stating: “Drones pose a growing threat to critical infrastructure, civilian populations, and national security. My bill would amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to require annual terrorism threat assessments on the malicious use of unmanned aircraft systems:” (December 18, 2025).
Shortly after, Crane expressed gratitude for bipartisan backing of his initiative: “Thank you to Chairman @RepGarbarino, @RepMcCaul, @RepDaleStrong, and @RepOgles for your support.” (December 18, 2025).
He also referenced local developments with a brief message: “Solid win for rural Arizona.” (December 18, 2025).
Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District in Congress since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane continues to focus on issues relevant both nationally and within his state.
