Rep. Eli Crane, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted several statements on his social media account on December 18, 2025, addressing national security and legislative action.

In one post at 16:26 UTC, Crane commented on political behavior in Washington by stating, “Predictable swamp behavior. Thanks for flagging, @realannapaulina.”

Later that day at 18:12 UTC, he addressed concerns about national security and immigration policy, writing, “Democrats allowed 18,000 known or suspected terrorists into our nation. Those are just the ones we know about. We also can’t remove many of them until they commit a crime because Democrats granted them asylum… @bennyjohnson”

At 20:10 UTC the same day, Crane announced new legislative efforts regarding drone threats: “Today, I introduced the Detecting and Evaluating Foreign Exploitation of Novel Drones (DEFEND) Act. This legislation would strengthen congressional oversight of emerging drone threats. America must maintain a decisive tactical advantage over our adversaries.”

Crane was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley. He succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district in 2023.
