Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several issues in a series of posts on October 16, 2025, ranging from federal subsidies and healthcare policy to disaster recovery efforts in Arizona.
In a post published at 12:44 p.m. UTC, Crane criticized Democratic lawmakers, stating, “Democrats are fully aware that providing taxpayer subsidies for something means YOU are still paying for the increased cost. They just don’t respect you enough to be honest about it. They are desperate to hide the fact that Obamacare has failed.”
Later that day, at 4:15 p.m. UTC, Crane discussed his office’s response to recent natural disasters in Arizona, writing, “My team and I are focused on helping expedite the recovery from the Dragon Bravo Fire at the North Rim, as well as assisting those impacted by recent flooding in and around Gila County. Thank you for having me on to discuss, @JeffOravits.”
At 7:20 p.m. UTC, Crane provided an update regarding assistance for those affected by the disasters, stating, “UPDATE – @SBAgov has extended in-person meeting hours at the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce. Representatives are now available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m MST. If you have questions or need assistance with loan applications, visit https://t.co/ai169Fdv0I.”
Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District since 2023, after succeeding Tom O’Halleran. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane is 43 years old and resides in Oro Valley.
