Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media regarding the recent federal government shutdown and his office’s response.

On October 1, 2025, Crane wrote: “Today, the federal government officially entered a shutdown. My offices will continue to operate as usual for as long as the Schumer shutdown lasts. We will never stop working for the great people of #AZ02.”

Later that evening, he posted a brief message accompanied by an emoji: “” (October 2, 2025).

The following morning, Crane commented on actions under President Joe Biden’s administration: “We know this is true… Because this is what they did for four years under Joe Biden.” (October 2, 2025).

Eli Crane has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Tom O’Halleran as representative of Arizona’s 2nd district. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane continues to communicate with constituents during significant national events such as government shutdowns.
