The Greater Florence and Hartsville Chambers, in partnership with Florence County Economic Development and the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, organized the Pee Dee Economic Blueprint 2035 Luncheon on September 9 at SiMT. The event, titled “A Roadmap for South Carolina’s Economic Future,” brought together all regional chambers of commerce, economic development teams, and their members.

Around 100 business leaders and economic developers from the area attended to discuss the future direction of South Carolina’s economy. The gathering aimed to include regional perspectives in shaping a comprehensive plan that addresses both challenges and opportunities for economic growth in the state.

The meeting featured a live survey using Menti technology and provided an opportunity for attendees to ask open-ended questions. The program was managed by the South Carolina Chamber with support from Grant Thornton to draft the Blueprint, incorporating local feedback.

Event organizers expressed appreciation to Sonoco and FDTC for their support of this regional initiative.

“Special thanks to Sonoco and FDTC for supporting this regional event.”
