PRET Advanced Materials invests $18.5 million to expand Florence County operations

PRET Advanced Materials, LLC has announced plans to expand its operations in Florence County. The company, which is based in Johnsonville, will invest $18.5 million into the project and expects to create 74 new jobs.

PRET is recognized as a leading compounder and supplier of thermoplastic resins in North America. Its South Carolina facility has been operating continuously since 1955.

The expansion involves the addition of new equipment and improvements at the facility located at 520 Kingsburg Highway in Johnsonville. These upgrades are intended to help PRET meet increased demand for its products.
