Roadwork is scheduled to begin on Kortsen Road in Casa Grande starting Thursday, October 16. Contractors will carry out improvements that include striping, milling, and applying a slurry seal to the roadway. This project follows the recent completion of the Kortsen Road Sewer Relief Project and is expected to take several days.

The work will affect traffic in the area. Kortsen Road will be closed from Pinal Avenue west to Crane Street, and some sections east of Pinal Avenue will also be inaccessible. Crews are set to work overnight from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., but road closures will remain in place around the clock until all improvements are finished.

Traffic management measures include message boards that will be posted five days before construction begins, as well as detours for drivers throughout the duration of the project.

In a statement, city officials said, “The City of Casa Grande thanks residents, businesses, and motorists for their patience during this necessary work to restore and improve roadway conditions.”
