HopeHealth schedules free Diabetes Awareness Walk in Florence

HopeHealth and Community Health Workers are organizing a Diabetes Awareness Walk to raise awareness about diabetes in South Carolina. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, at the Streater Community Center, located at 301 N. Dargan Street in Florence on the HopeHealth Medical Plaza campus.

Registration for the walk begins at 8:30 a.m., with the walk starting at 9 a.m. Attendees will have access to health screenings, giveaways, and snacks during the event. Participation is free of charge. The event is supported by funding from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Diabetes Free grant.

According to organizers, “Do you represent one in seven adults in South Carolina living with diabetes? Join The Diabetes Institute at HopeHealth and Community Health Workers for a Diabetes Awareness Walk on Saturday, November 15.”

The walk aims to engage local residents and highlight resources available for diabetes management and prevention.
