As winter approaches, some residents in Florence County are facing challenges due to a lack of warm clothing. In response, Heavenly Divine Home Care LLC has launched a coat drive aimed at collecting 500 new or gently used coats as well as socks, gloves, hats, and scarves. The collected items will be distributed on January 24, 2026, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm EST to individuals and families in need within the local community.

The organizers state that their effort is motivated by the difficulties many people experience during colder months without adequate clothing. “The need for warm coats is significant, and it’s a burden we believe we can lighten together through the power of collective compassion and action,” they said.

This initiative seeks to support vulnerable community members by providing essential winter wear ahead of the coldest part of the year.
