South Carolina Secretary of State Mark Hammond has named Greater Florence Habitat for Humanity as one of the 2025 “Angel” charities. The recognition is given to ten nonprofit organizations that show strong service and responsible management of their resources. Greater Florence Habitat for Humanity was included in this year’s list, with 85% of its expenditures going directly to program services.

The Angels list is published annually and features charities that spend at least 80% of their budgets on programs, rely heavily on volunteers, and make a significant impact throughout South Carolina.

“We’re honored that Greater Florence Habitat for Humanity is included in this year’s list with 85% of expenditures going directly to program services!” the organization stated.
