The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce has announced that its 2025 Fall Legislative and Community Breakfast will take place on November 7 at The Florence Center, located at 3300 W Radio Dr. in Florence. This year’s event will focus on mental health issues affecting the Pee Dee region.

Speakers scheduled for the breakfast include Elizabeth Crowley, Executive Director of Leatherman Behavioral Care Pavilion; Rebecca Vincent, Vice President of Patient Services Women’s and Children’s McLeod Regional Medical Center; Farrah M. Hughes, Associate Vice President for Behavioral Health at HopeHealth; and Jay Hinesley, CEO of MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.

The event comes after the recent opening of the MUSC Health Leatherman Pavilion in late August. According to the Chamber, “MUSC and its’ collaborative partners opened the doors of the innovative MUSC Health Leatherman Pavilion in late August and will serve as a regional behavioral health center.” The breakfast aims to provide an opportunity for community members to hear from health care experts about collaborative efforts to address mental health challenges in the area.

The Chamber holds this Community Breakfast twice each year, covering topics such as legislative updates and local concerns related to safety, health care, and education. Attendance is open to business and civic leaders as well as the general public.

Doors will open at 7:30 a.m., with the program beginning at 7:50 a.m. Registration costs $30 for chamber members, $40 for non-members, and $260 for a reserved table of eight. The event is sponsored by First Reliance Bank and Signature Wealth Strategies.
