Greater Florence Chamber opens nominations for Small Businessperson of the Year

The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce has opened nominations for its 2026 Small Businessperson of the Year award, an annual recognition sponsored by Dedicated Community Bank. The award honors individuals who have demonstrated success in managing a small business and shown responsibility toward employees, customers, and the community.

Nominations are open to members of the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce who are associated with a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, or professional practice in the Greater Florence area and employ fewer than 50 people. Elected officials and employees of government or nonprofit organizations are not eligible unless they also participate in a for-profit business.

Last year’s recipient was David Fountain of the UPS Stores in Florence.
