The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Membership Luncheon on Wednesday, September 24, at the Florence Center. The event drew approximately 500 attendees, including industry representatives, business leaders, and members of the local community.

Joseph Armas, President of Otis U.S & Canada, served as the keynote speaker. He discussed the company’s operations in Florence and its broader impact. “We’re proud to call Florence our North American manufacturing home. And we’re just getting started,” said Armas. Otis currently employs more than 600 people locally and has a workforce of 74,000 globally.

The Chamber acknowledged several area financial institutions for their ongoing support in organizing the luncheon and other community projects. These include Anderson Brothers Bank, Bank of Clarendon, Carolina Bank, Dedicated Community Bank, First Bank, First Citizens Bank, First Reliance Bank, SAFE FCU, South Carolina FCU, South State Bank, SPC Credit Union, Synovus, TD Bank, The Citizens Bank, Truist and Wells Fargo.
