The Francis Marion University (FMU) School of Business Speaker Series will feature Rob Ardis, President and CEO of Santee Electric Cooperative, Inc., as its fall speaker. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 30 at 5:30 PM in the Harris Auditorium, located within FMU’s School of Business & School of Education Building at 4811 Robert C. Scott Drive in Florence.
Ardis will present a talk titled “Electric Power Challenges in South Carolina from the Perspective of an Electric Cooperative.” He leads Santee Electric Cooperative, which supplies electricity to about 45,000 accounts across Clarendon, Florence, Georgetown, and Williamsburg Counties.
Ardis holds degrees from FMU and the University of Tennessee. He is a licensed professional engineer and belongs to both the South Carolina and National Societies of Professional Engineers.
The event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow Ardis’s presentation.
