On September 30, the Florence Regional Airport organized an update luncheon attended by about 40 business and industry leaders from the area. The event aimed to provide information on recent and upcoming changes at the airport.

Brad Beadles, Executive Director of the Florence Regional Airport, discussed several ongoing projects such as runway expansion and improvements to parking and terminal facilities. Brian Sanders, Regional Director for American Airlines, talked about current airline services at the airport and possible future flight options and schedules. Greg Atkin, President of Atkin Aviation consultants, presented data on airport performance along with general updates on commercial aviation.

Mike Miller, President of the Florence Chamber of Commerce, gave background on air service issues at Florence Regional Airport (FLO) and reviewed recent commercial flight schedules as well as prospects for future growth.

According to organizers, “The goal was to inform our largest airport users about efforts to attract additional commercial air service and to share the improvements in the airport’s customer experience.”
