Florence Police Department hosts prescription drug take back event on October 25

The City of Florence Police Department will participate in the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 25. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 230 N Beltline Dr., Florence, SC 29501, located at Walmart.

Residents are encouraged to clean out their medicine cabinets and bring any unneeded prescription drugs for safe disposal. The service is free and anonymous.

Syringes, sharps, and illicit drugs will not be accepted during the event. Liquid medications such as cough syrup should remain sealed in their original containers with caps tightly closed to prevent leakage.
