Florence hospitality leaders invited to discuss alcohol certification law at September meeting

The South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association, along with the Sports Council, will hold a meeting for its Florence chapter on Thursday, September 25, 2025. The event is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM at Seminar Brewing.

Organizers state that the meeting aims to bring together hospitality leaders from the Florence area to discuss industry developments and share ideas. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about how the Florence Chapter can better support local businesses and careers.

A key topic on the agenda is the new Mandatory Alcohol Certification Law (H. 3430). This law requires all bartenders, servers, and managers in South Carolina to obtain a Responsible Alcohol Certification such as ServSafe Alcohol. The meeting will provide details about these requirements and guidance on maintaining compliance for both businesses and staff.
