Florence 1 Schools partners with local institutions to launch aerospace innovation school

Florence 1 Schools has announced plans to launch the School of Innovation in Aerospace (SIA) through a partnership with several organizations, including the Florence Regional Airport, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Charleston Southern University, and the PIA – Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. The new school will be housed in a dedicated hangar at the Florence airport and is expected to open in 2027.

The initiative aims to provide specialized education and training in aerospace for students in the region. Additional details about the program and its development can be found on the Florence 1 Schools website.
