Potter House Recovery and Stirrup Hope are organizing the Farm to Freedom Festival on Saturday to mark National Recovery Month. The event will focus on equine and farm therapy, hope, and freedom. It will serve as both a community gathering and a fundraiser.
Food and beverages at the festival will be provided by Victor’s, Pepsi, Kona Ice, and the Bryan Family. Entertainment includes live music, a DJ, games for all ages, activities for adults and children, as well as a dunk booth featuring Donovan Page and Rob Waller.
Mayor Barnes is scheduled to attend the event to present a proclamation in recognition of National Recovery Month. Additional guest appearances include Texas Roadhouse’s Andy Armadillo.
The evening will conclude with a bonfire, s’mores, and a raffle with various prizes available. One of the featured raffle items is a Pee Dee IceCats Family 4 pack that includes four tickets for 200 level seats at an IceCats game, along with merchandise such as a t-shirt, hat, decals, an official game puck, and a fan experience for four people. Winners must be present at the event to claim their prize.
Admission to the Farm to Freedom Festival is free. The organizers have emphasized that it is intended as a family-friendly event open to attendees of all ages.
