Rep. Eli Crane, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, recently addressed several topics on his social media account, ranging from health care legislation to military pay and local restoration efforts.
On October 15, 2025, Crane questioned the origins of the Affordable Care Act, posting, “I’m still relatively new to ‘politics.’ Is it true that democrats let insurance companies and special interest groups write Obamacare? If so, that’s probably why it’s not working well for normal people. I bet the people that wrote it are doing well though.”
Later the same day, he commented on the possibility of legal challenges related to military pay, stating, “Democrats suing the White House for paying the troops would be a new one. I’m sure they could get an activist judge to go along with it though…” (October 15, 2025).
Crane also highlighted bipartisan support for environmental legislation in his district, sharing a media feature on recent legislative activity: “ICYMI – Great piece by @azfamily highlighting the North Rim Restoration Act of 2025. Thank you to @RepAndyBiggsAZ, @RepGosar, @RepAbeHamadeh, @RepLaMalfa, @RepTiffany, @RepMaloyUtah, as well as the @CoconinoCounty Board of Supervisors for your support.” (October 15, 2025).
Crane was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley. He succeeded Tom O’Halleran as the representative for Arizona’s 2nd district after the 2022 elections.
