U.S. Representative Eli Crane, who serves Arizona’s 2nd congressional district, shared updates on his official X account regarding a recent visit to Gila County and the release of a new damage assessment report.

On February 2, 2026, Crane posted a brief message: “It’s that simple.”

Later the same day, he provided more detail about his activities in Gila County: “On Thursday, I hosted Gregg Phillips, Associate Administrator of @fema’s Office of Response and Recovery, in Gila County. We believe the new report represents the true scale of the damage. Thank you to @POTUS and @Sec_Noem for making this visit possible:”
