U.S. Representative Eli Crane, who serves Arizona’s 2nd district in Congress, posted a series of tweets on November 6 and 7, 2025, criticizing Democrats over the ongoing government shutdown and airport conditions.

On November 6, Crane wrote: “And they’re going to keep calling it a Republican shutdown. Because all they do is lie.”

In another post dated November 7, he stated: “Nobody should be surprised by the cruelty of the Democrat shutdown. Just look at what they did to you during COVID and again with the Biden border crisis. They don’t care about you. They care about control.”

Later that day, Crane commented on airport experiences, saying: “Having a terrible experience at the airport? You have Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego to thank.”

Eli Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Tom O’Halleran. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane currently resides in Oro Valley.
