Rep. Eli Crane, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted several updates on social media regarding legislative initiatives and disaster relief efforts.
On October 10, 2025, Crane announced new legislation aimed at expediting restoration work in a key region of Arizona. He wrote, “Today, I introduced the North Rim Restoration Act of 2025 to fast-track the rebuild of the Grand Canyon. Thank you to @RepAndyBiggsAZ, @RepGosar, @RepTiffany, @RepLaMalfa, @RepMaloyUtah, as well as the @CoconinoCounty Board of Supervisors for supporting this legislation. #AZ02”.
Later that day, Crane commented on healthcare policy and its costs. In his post dated October 10, 2025, he stated: “It would be a shame if @BarackObama saw these clips of democrat senators trashing Obamacare. Can we officially declare that the ‘affordable’ care act makes care demonstrably more expensive?”
On October 11, 2025, Crane provided an update related to disaster assistance following severe weather in Gila County: “UPDATE: @SBAgov has declared an economic disaster due to the severe flooding in Gila County. Through this declaration, SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program is available to eligible businesses, private nonprofits, and residents.”
Crane’s posts reflect his involvement with both legislative measures impacting public lands and commentary on national health policy issues. His announcement regarding disaster relief comes after significant flooding prompted federal action to provide loans for recovery in affected areas.
Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley at age 43, Eli Crane succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd District beginning with the start of his term in 2023.
