Duke Energy announces Storm Ready Expo scheduled for May 16 in Florence County

Duke Energy announced on May 4 that it will host a Storm Ready Expo on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Florence County Complex Parking Lot.

The event is intended to help families learn about storm safety while providing activities and entertainment for all ages. According to Duke Energy, “This event promises something for the whole family, with engaging children’s activities, a touch-a-truck experience, and a variety of delicious food trucks. Join them to learn valuable tips on staying safe during storms, enjoy some great food, and let the kids have fun exploring and participating.”

Vendors interested in participating are encouraged to submit their applications by May 11 through Jessica Joe at the Florence County Emergency Management office.

The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce contributes to community engagement by promoting local tourism and supporting businesses in the Florence area. The organization also works to advance economic growth and prosperity through education, advocacy and community collaboration for businesses and residents. Paul Felker has held the position of executive director for the chamber, which serves the Florence area in Arizona as a community business organization offering resources such as a member directory and networking events to support local businesses,according to the official website.

Events like this expo reflect ongoing efforts by local organizations such as Duke Energy and community groups like the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce to provide educational opportunities while fostering connections among residents.
