Casa Grande Public Library schedules week of events including book sale and parade appearance

The Casa Grande Public Library has announced a series of events and programs scheduled from December 1 to December 6 at both the Main Library and Vista Grande Library locations.

On Monday, December 1, the Genealogy Club will meet from 10 to 11 a.m. at Vista Grande Library. Attendees can learn about resources available from the Arizona Historical Society Library & Archives.

A Holiday Storytime is planned for Tuesday, December 2, at 10 a.m. at the Main Library. The event will include holiday stories, songs, cookies, crafts, and family photo backdrops.

From Wednesday through Saturday (December 3–6), the Friends of the Library Book Sale will take place during regular hours at the Main Library. On Saturday, December 6, patrons can participate in “$5 bag day” as part of the book sale’s conclusion.

For teens in grades six through twelve, a Board Game Club meets Thursdays at 4 p.m. at the Main Library for games and socializing.

Adults seeking technology assistance can join an online class on Thursday, December 4, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., focusing on Zoom, Google Meet, and FaceTime basics.

Ongoing clubs include Crochet & Knitting Club every Friday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Vista Grande Library; Spanish Conversation Gatherings on Thursdays through December 4; and ESL classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Vista Grande Library.

Family activities are also scheduled for Saturday, December 6. A Movie & Coloring Afternoon starts at 2 p.m. at the Main Library. Later that evening at Florence Blvd., the library Bookmobile will lead off during the Electric Light Parade.

Additional library services highlighted include reading challenges via Beanstack app, Universal Class online learning opportunities, Tutor Tech Time for one-on-one technology help, GED diploma support services, reservable study rooms, Culture Passes for cultural attractions access, volunteer opportunities such as participation in the Mayor’s Reading Club program and more.
