The Casa Grande Public Library has announced a series of programs and events for the week of November 3 to 8, taking place at both its Main Library and Vista Grande Library locations.
On Thursday, November 6, an Intermediate iPad/iPhone class will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Main Library on North Drylake Street. The class does not require registration.
Genealogy enthusiasts can attend a session titled “Using Maps for Genealogy” on Monday, November 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the Vista Grande Library on North Arizola Road. This is part of the library’s monthly genealogy topic introduction.
For students in grades six through twelve, the Board Game Series continues weekly on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. at the Main Library. The program runs for eleven weeks and focuses on strategy and friendly competition.
The Crochet & Knitting Club meets Fridays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Vista Grande Library for ages twelve and up. Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies; some yarn will be provided while supplies last.
A Family Movie & Coloring Activity is scheduled for Saturday at the Main Library beginning at 2:00 p.m., where light snacks are allowed and children under twelve must be accompanied by an adult.
Spanish Conversation Gatherings take place every Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Vista Grande Library, hosted by Ms. Alisa & Alondra with no registration required.
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Vista Grande Library, open to all proficiency levels.
Gardening Tips & Seed Library presentations continue with “Beyond Rows: Square Foot, Intercropping, Chaos Gardening” set for November 8 at Vista Grande Library, followed by another session on December 13 covering tips and favorite gardening products.
A Veterans Living Library Event will be held Wednesday, November 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., also at Vista Grande Library. Hosted in partnership with Quiet Waters Global Maternal Wellness and Casa Grande Union High School District, local veterans will share stories from various eras during this free public event with light refreshments provided.
Both library branches will close Tuesday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day; regular hours resume Wednesday, November 12.
Ongoing services include reading challenges via the Beanstack app such as “25 in 25 Challenge” for all ages and “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” aimed at children aged zero to five who complete it receive a certificate and photo opportunity at either branch.
Volunteer opportunities remain available through the Mayor’s Reading Club—requiring one hour per month reading to students in grades K-3—and through support roles like adult education tutoring or ESL coaching via the ACE Team.
Library cardholders have access to free online courses through Universal Class covering hundreds of topics suitable for adults and students alike.
One-on-one technology tutoring sessions are offered for adults eighteen years or older who wish assistance learning about devices or digital resources; sign-up is required.

Donations of books or media may be made during regular hours; larger donations should call ahead using the main library number provided above.
The Friends of the Casa Grande Public Library accept these donations as well as volunteers interested in supporting educational programming.
Additionally, library cardholders can check out Culture Passes—one per household each seven-day period—to visit local cultural institutions; passes are also distributed via Bookmobile service.
