Both branches of the Casa Grande Public Library will close early at 5 p.m. on November 26 and remain closed for Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 28. Regular hours will resume on Saturday, November 29.

The library is offering several programs this week. An 11-week board-game series for students in grades 6–12 typically takes place on Thursdays at 4 p.m., but there will be no session this Thursday due to the holiday. The Vista Grande branch hosts a Crochet & Knitting Club for ages 12 and up on Fridays from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., with supplies provided while available.

A family movie screening of “Encanto” is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Main branch; children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The monthly Genealogy talk will take place Monday, December 1 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Vista Grande, focusing this month on the Arizona Historical Society Library & Archives.

Spanish Conversation sessions continue Thursdays from 12:30 to 1 p.m. through December 4, except this Thursday due to the holiday closure. ESL classes are offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Vista Grande, also with no session this Thursday.

Additional services include year-round reading challenges via the Beanstack app—“25 in 25” for all ages and “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” for young children—as well as volunteer opportunities through the Mayor’s Reading Club, which involves reading one hour per month to K–3rd graders.

Library cardholders have free access to online courses through Universal Class, and adults can sign up for one-on-one technology help through Tutor Tech Time. Study rooms are available for reservation at both branches online, by phone, or in person.

Donations are accepted during normal business hours for Friends of the Casa Grande Public Library at either location. Culture Passes are also available for local cultural venues, including via the Library Bookmobile.

The Main Branch is located at 449 N. Drylake St., open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Vista Grande Branch is located at 1556 N. Arizola Rd., open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
