The Casa Grande Public Library has announced its weekly schedule of events and programs for October 13-18, 2025. The library is hosting a Fall Reading Challenge throughout the month for children, teens, and adults. Children ages 0 to 12 can participate by completing an activity sheet with ten tasks to earn a prize. Teens and adults are encouraged to read five books and log them using the Beanstack App to receive a reading-themed pin. Registration is available at either library location.

An Android Basics Workshop will be held on October 16 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Main Library, offering guidance on using Android devices without requiring prior registration.

The Teen Board Game Club meets Thursdays at 4 p.m. at the Main Library for students in grades 6 through 12, while the Crochet & Knitting Club gathers Fridays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Vista Grande Library for participants aged 12 and older.

On October 17, from 2 to 3 p.m., caregivers can attend “Cook, Save, Enjoy,” an eight-class series focused on healthy eating on a budget at the Main Library.

A Cars movie marathon is scheduled as the Movie of the Week event on October 18 at 2 p.m. in the Main Library; children under age twelve must be accompanied by an adult.

Other recurring programs include Spanish Conversation Gathering with Ms. Violeta and Alondra on Thursdays from 12:30 to 1 p.m., and English as a Second Language classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to noon—both held at Vista Grande Library with no registration required.

Looking ahead, the library will host a Día de los Muertos celebration on October 24 featuring storytelling, Folklorico dancers, Mariachi music, crafts, and pan dulce.

The Garden Series continues November 8 at Vista Grande Library with a session titled “Beyond Rows – Square Foot, Intercropping & Chaos Gardening.”

Tech help is available through Tutor Tech Time sessions for adults who sign up online. Universal Class offers free online courses accessible with a library card, and GED classes are provided free of charge for adults seeking their diploma.

Ongoing reading challenges include “25 in 25” for all ages, “1000 Books Before Kindergarten,” and “Fall into Reading.” Volunteer opportunities are available through the Mayor’s Reading Club—where volunteers read monthly to K–3 students—and ACE Team tutoring for adult education.

Patrons may donate books to Friends of the Library or check out Culture Passes for free museum visits.

The Main Library is located at 449 N. Drylake St., open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Vista Grande Library is located at 1556 N. Arizola Rd., open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
