The Casa Grande Public Library has announced its weekly schedule of activities and services for November 17-22, offering a variety of programs for residents of all ages.
On Tuesday, November 18 at 10:00 a.m., the Main Library will host a Thanksgiving-themed puppet show and craft activity designed for children and families. The Main Library is located at 449 N. Drylake St.
A technology session will take place on Thursday, November 20 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Main Library. Attendees can explore popular apps on smart devices in a hands-on setting. Registration is not required for this event.
The Vista Grande Library, located at 1556 N. Arizola Rd., will hold a blood drive on Friday, November 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are also available.
On Saturday, November 22 starting at 2:00 p.m., the Main Library will offer a Family Movie & Coloring Activity. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Attendees may bring light snacks and drinks with screw-top lids.
Ongoing weekly programs include board-game sessions every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. for students in grades six through twelve at the Main Library; a Crochet & Knitting Club for ages twelve and up meeting Fridays from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at Vista Grande Library (participants should bring their own supplies, though some yarn is provided); Spanish Conversation Gatherings Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m.; and ESL classes Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Vista Grande Library.
Library services featured this week include reading challenges such as “25 in 2025” for all ages and “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” for young children aged zero to five years old; free access to online courses via Universal Class with a library card; one-on-one “Tutor Tech Time” sessions providing device help and tech learning for adults eighteen years or older; volunteer opportunities through the Mayor’s Reading Club (reading to grades K–3) or by assisting Central Lutheran Church ACE Team with ESL tutoring; study room reservations; Act One Culture Passes available for households; and donation drop-offs accepted by the Friends group.
