COX Communications will begin inspecting underground conduits along Cottonwood Lane in Casa Grande starting Monday, October 13. The work, which is expected to last about a week, will occur between Colorado Street and Arizola Road. Most of the activity will be on the roadway shoulder, and a mobile shadow truck will assist crews during the operation.

Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and remain alert while traveling through this area. Questions about this project can be directed to the Casa Grande Public Works Department at (520) 421-8625.

In a separate project, APS and contractors for the City of Casa Grande will install new traffic signals at the intersection of Trekell Road and McCartney Road. This work is also scheduled to begin Monday, October 13, and is expected to continue for about one week. The installation will take place overnight from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. During these hours, existing signals will be temporarily turned off, and Casa Grande Police officers will assist with traffic control. The intersection will function as a four-way stop while work is underway.

Motorists are again asked to slow down, use caution, and stay alert in the affected area. For more information about this project, contact the Casa Grande Public Works Department at (520) 421-8625.

Residents can sign up for CG Alerts to stay updated on citywide traffic impacts through the city’s official website at www.CasaGrandeAZ.gov.
