The American Red Cross is seeking volunteers to support its response efforts during emergencies such as house fires and natural disasters. The organization encourages individuals to get involved by joining the Disaster Action Team or by becoming an Emergency Shelter Volunteer.

Those interested in volunteering can find more information and training opportunities on the Red Cross website at www.redcross.org/dat for Disaster Action Team roles, or at www.redcross.org/shelterheroesSC for Emergency Shelter Volunteer positions. Additional volunteer opportunities are available at www.redcross.org/volunteer.

“Whether it’s a house fire or natural disaster, be ready to help your neighbors in their time of need!” the American Red Cross stated.
