The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has announced several freeway closures and lane restrictions on Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) in the Northwest Valley for the weekend of October 17-20, 2025. The closures are part of ongoing improvement projects.

According to ADOT, southbound Loop 101 will be closed between 75th Avenue and Thunderbird Road from 9 p.m. Friday until noon on Saturday, October 18, for pavement sealing work. Northbound Loop 101 will be closed between Thunderbird Road and 75th Avenue from 9 p.m. Saturday until noon on Sunday, October 19, also for pavement sealing.

In addition, eastbound Loop 101 will be reduced to two lanes in certain sections between 75th Avenue and I-17 from 10 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday, October 18, due to freeway lighting work.

ADOT advises drivers to consult the Weekend Travel Advisory Map for more detailed information about these restrictions.
